Connect Forever Point Rules

Rules & Scoring

Everything that feeds the leaderboard: how individual points are earned, how crew scores are calculated, and every scoring table used by Connect Forever. Use the search box or the sidebar to jump straight to a category.

♛

Core Principles

Categories, eligibility, leaderboards and the philosophy behind scoring.

Individual Leaderboard

Players compete based on their own score.

Crew Leaderboard

Crew points combine Crew members' individual contributions with Crew bonuses.

Scoring Philosophy

  • Weekly rewards are distributed based on activity during the current week.
  • Crews should earn most of their points through crew-based accomplishments.
  • Every individual point earned by a Contributing Crew Member also counts directly towards that Crew's total score, on top of any Crew-only bonuses.
  • The goal is to reward cooperation while still recognizing individual effort.

Character Eligibility

  • At registration, the server checks that the submitted Retail character exists in the selected region and realm. This check does not verify account ownership or import profile data.
  • Only a player's designated Main Character earns points for their Crew. Alts remain eligible for the Individual Leaderboard and earn individual points as usual.
  • Players may switch their Main Character at any time. Points already earned for the Crew by the previous Main Character are kept and continue to count towards the Crew total.

Crew Membership

  • A character may only belong to one crew.
  • Switching crews is allowed, but requires approval from tournament management.

Crew Efforts

  • Shared Progression — Crews are rewarded for progressing together.
  • Weekly Awards — Crews compete against each other every week based on leaderboard progress during that week.
  • Crew Calculations — Every player's individual points count directly towards their Crew's score.

Data Updates

  • The season start date and time determine when the leaderboard becomes active and which snapshots are used for weekly awards.
  • Registered players are fetched and refreshed 1-2 times per hour at scheduled times after the season starts, or after a player registers and becomes eligible for the leaderboard.
  • Two snapshots are saved to the database each day so progression can be calculated reliably over time.

Contributing Crew Members

  • Crew weekly awards and milestones are based on each Crew's highest performing active participants in the respective category.
  • The number of Contributing Crew Members depends on the total number of active participants on the leaderboard.
  • 9-11 active participants: The top 3 Contributing Crew Members from each Crew contribute.
  • 12+ active participants: The top 4 Contributing Crew Members from each Crew contribute.
  • Only the Contributing Crew Members count towards: Crew Milestones, Crew Weekly Awards, and Crew Progression Calculations.
  • This model helps smooth out imbalances when a Crew has more inactive members, so inactive roster spots do not automatically create a disadvantage.

Tie Rules

  • If multiple crews tie, placement points are pooled and divided equally.
  • Example: 1st Place = 200 points · 2nd Place = 150 points. Tie for 1st: (200 + 150) / 2 = 175 points each ?Pooled placement points are averaged across every crew sharing that placement.
